LCN Researcher hosts inaugural International Quantum Technologies conference

King’s College London hosted the inaugural conference for the EPSRC funded International Quantum Technologies network LeviNet between the 6th – 8th September. We welcomed over 100 researchers from 60 institutes worldwide. The network is chaired by LCN member Dr. James Millen.

LeviNet focuses on the use of levitated nanoparticles in fundamental and applied science, with a particular interest in quantum technologies. Topics of study include tests of macroscopic quantum effects, detection of dark matter & gravitation waves, nanophotonics and device development.

The network will fund workshops and scientific missions anywhere in the world over the next three years. If you are interested in joining LeviNet, see www.levinet.org.
