Diversity Challenge

6.00pm to 8.00pm, Thursday 19th September @ The Royal Institution Theatre

Where are all the Black and brown scientists? Women engineers? LGBTQ mathematicians? Disabled nanotechnologists? Asian or minority ethnic physicists?

The current state of diversity in science is poor at best. Discoveries and stories of underrepresented scientists are often erased from the history books, when we know they play significant roles in the advancement of science.

Diversity Challenge, inspired by the popular quiz show ‘University Challenge’, will pit two teams of diverse renowned scientists from around the UK to see who knows more about underrepresented scientists. Join the amazing Dr. Suze Kundu in hosting an unmissable evening of short talks and enlightening questions. Here’s your first starter for 10 (no conferring)…

This event is sponsored by the Wellcome Collection and London Centre for Nanotechnology (LCN).

Know of an underrepresented scientist from the past? Submit a question to Diversity Challenge and it could appear on the live show!
