Bug Hunters

i-sense will be at this year’s Spark Festival London with an interactive stall ‘Bug Hunters’, at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park on 30th and 31st August at 11am-6pm.

Infectious diseases are an inevitable part of life- constantly emerging and evolving- but that doesn’t mean that they can’t be stopped in their tracks…

This event will provide an interactive journey through the hunt for bugs- to identify disease outbreaks much earlier than ever before.  It will include an interactive demonstartion as to how the technologies we use everyday- mobile phones, apps, search engines, social media- can be used to rapidly test and track infectious diseases.

There will be plenty of fun and hands-on activities; from art projects and puzzle competitions to helping spread a “disease” around the festival.

Feel free to tweet about the event using #bughunters!

Spark Festival London is a fun, interactive family event from 30th-31st August, 11-6pm at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. There will be activities led by UCL students and researchers, entertainment from the UCL school of art, live music and refreshments. Children can also have fun in the creche facilities, with supervised games and face painting activities.
