Tayebeh Mousavi

Dr Tayebeh Mousavi runs the manufacturing and characterization of advanced materials group at the Department of Engineering, King’s College London. Her research focuses on the correlation between microstructure, processing parameters, properties and applications of materials to address industrial challenges and improve the performance of materials in engineering applications.

Tayebeh’s group is specialised in various processing techniques mainly thin film deposition and powder processing combined with advanced characterization techniques to examine microstructure. While her research covers a wide range of advanced materials including nanocomposites and thin films, she particularly works on superconducting materials with recent activities on the development of persistent joints between technological superconductors to build up high-field magnets.

Her group is also interested in the implementation of thin film technology in developments of solid electrolyte batteries by deposition of various components in battery cells.
