Professor Hess’s research interests are in Quantum Nanophotonics, Active Metamaterials and Laser Physics and are currently focused on active (photonic, electronic and magnetic) metamaterials, quantum nano-photonics and spatio-temporal dynamics of (plasmonic and semiconductor) nanolasers.
