Nigel Brandon

Professor Nigel Brandon’s research is focused on electrochemical devices for energy applications, with a particular focus on fuel cells, electrolysers, and batteries. He is Director of the RC Energy programme funded Hydrogen and Fuel Cells SUPERGEN Hub (www.h2fcsupergen.com), and Co-Director of the SUPERGEN Energy Storage Hub (energysuperstore.org). He was the founding Director of the Energy Futures Lab at Imperial College (www.imperial.ac.uk/energyfutureslab), and a founder of Ceres Power (www.cerespower.com), an AIM listed fuel cell company spun out from Imperial College in 2000. In 2014 he was appointed as founder Director of the Sustainable Gas Institute at Imperial College (www.sustainablegasinstitute.org). He is a founder of RFC Power, a flow battery company spun out from Imperial College in 2018.
