My vision in research is to support a zero pollution economy by overhauling the use of traditionally scare and poisonous elements for the fabrication of energy generators and storage devices. My main focus is on Si- and carbon-based nanomaterials that are suitable candidates for this technology. My goal is to develop non-hazardous, recyclable and flexible devices that can ultimately be used to create responsibly sourced wearable technology. To revolutionise wearable electrical systems integration, one must combine flexible energy scavenging, generation and storage devices with e-garments without impeding on wearability nor electrical functionality.
