Benji Fenech Salerno

Benji Fenech-Salerno is a post-doctoral researcher within the 2D Wearable Electronics and Biosensors (2DWEB) group at the Department of Chemistry, Imperial College London. He received his BSc in Biology and Chemistry from the University of Malta in 2018 and an MRes in Nanomaterials from Imperial College London in 2019. He joined the 2DWEB group in 2019 as a PhD candidate on a full departmental scholarship, where he worked at the intersection of graphene and chemical sensing technology. His primary research interest is developing chemical sensing technology for health and environmental monitoring applications. In 2023, Benji was ranked in the CAS Future Leaders Top 100 and has been a member of the London Centre of Nanotechnology Equality, Diversity & Inclusion board since 2020. Outside the lab, Benji is an avid reader and enjoys long treks in the countryside.
