Nano book gets top US prize

The book Nano: The Spectacular Science of the Very (Very) Small authored by LCN scientist Dr Jess Wade has been awarded the silver medal for the Bank Street 2022 Cook Prize. The Cook Prize, honours the best STEM picture book for children aged 8-10, and is the only . It is the only US-based national children’s choice award honouring a STEM book. Following the award, medallist will produce a 15-minute video on their work, which will be featured on the Centre for Children’s Literature website.

This accolade comes along starred reviews in a range of mainstream journals, and expansion to Nano into paperback, audiobook and translation into five languages (and growing).
