Photonic metasurfaces have matured over the last few years into an enabling technology that delivers precise custom static or switchable electromagnetic fields in applications that were previously unfeasible. As the field rapidly matures, it is essential to identify topic areas that could benefit most to fully capitalise on the technology’s potential. This meeting marks the beginning of a series of discussions between the Photonic Metasurface and Quantum communities. We aim to identify the most fruitful areas for collaboration and build links between researchers/research groups on both sides to deliver the most significant outcomes.
This meeting is organised between the UK Metamaterials Network (UKMMN)
special interest group on ‘Photonic Metasurfaces‘ and the Institute of Physics (IOP) special interest groups ‘Optical’, ‘Quantum Electronics and Photonics’ and ‘Quantum Optics, Quantum Information and Quantum Control.
